An incredibly talented fashion designer who recently launched her own label, Lindsey loves living in Cincinnati. âIt is a city with a small town feel. I love that I know my neighbors, am close to my family, yet still get some of the perks of being in a big city.â She also believes that âCincinnati has such a rich culture, from the historic buildings to the arts scene…I feel like Iâm exploring a new place every day.â
Lindsey is actively involved with Crossroads Community Church, where she volunteers with Kids Club, and serves on the India Justice planning team – a group planning social enterprise initiatives for women who have been freed from sex slavery in India. She also participates in local non-profit construction projects âbecause sometimes, I just want to get my hands dirty.â
She says her mother taught her that âlife is like a roller coaster.â Through self-discipline, goal-setting and service to others, Lindsey manages to turn obstacles in life into opportunities, so sheâs ânot the passenger on the ride, but the joyful driver.â
Lindsey says she loves being âSingle & Successfulâ in Cincinnati because itâs âsuch a great town to start a company and live it up at the same time. There is so much to go out and do with friends. I love being downtown and taking in all it has to offer.â

Nidhi is always smiling. She believes that life is all about having the right attitude: âThe remarkable thing is that we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for the day. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I respond to it.â

Sheâs also a member of the United Way of Cincinnatiâs Emerging Leaders Society, and regularly volunteers for the Cincinnati Zoo, Cincinnati Ballet and other local organizations.
Katy is a proud resident of Over-the-Rhine, and believes Cincinnati is âin the middle of a renaissance.â She loves the fact that so many people are effecting positive change in the city. âI love that the cityâs skyline is the last thing I see before I go to bed, and the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning.â
Katy recently decided to give up her ride and live car-free for at least one full year. âMetro is a great resource for our city, and walking and biking are two healthy (and fun!) alternatives to sitting behind the wheel of a car.â

Rebecca believes that âcourage is simply the willingness to be afraid and act anyway.â Active and athletic, Rebecca once broke her ankle making an audition tape for the hit TV show âSurvivor.â âSeveral years ago, I took a video camera out on the mountain bike trails to finish off the last portion of the tape. It was January, so no one else was on the trails. I came out hopping on one foot, using my bike as a crutch.â Rebecca says it wasnât until she made it back to her car that she could call for help. The story ends with âan emergency room visit, surgery, titanium pins and a short stint in the ICU.â
Rebecca has since healed from her injuries, and thinks Cincinnati is the perfect place for people living active lifestyles. She regularly takes part in the Flying Pig Marathon and Heart Mini-Marathon, and enjoys visiting area parks. Rebecca also appreciates Cincinnatiâs âstrong sense of family and family values.â She says she finds that people here âtend to be more in tune with the things around them.â
So, whatâs it like being âSingle & Successfulâ in Cincinnati? Rebecca says itâs âdefinitely fun! Cincinnati has so many social activities.â She loves meeting new people, âwhether itâs a wine tasting, an organized road or mountain bike ride, a local concert, a charity event, the art museum or just a new restaurant.â Rebecca says although it can sometimes be challenging to juggle work and play, the key is to lead a âbalancedâ life.

With her bright smile and even brighter personality, Comecâko believes that real beauty lies within – not just on the outside. She thinks all women should âwake up and tell yourself that you are beautiful and that you are the controller of your happiness!â

Jennifer (or Jenny, to friends and family) loves helping others achieve peace and harmony in their lives. She encourages her clients to try new experiences, and is trying a few new things herself, like archery, salsa dancing and Native American field tracking.
Jenny thinks comedian George Carlin got it right when he said âPeople who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point.â Despite the âcold winters and seasonal allergies,â Jenny thinks Cincinnati is âjust an easy place to call home,â and loves how easy it is to find great art, entertainment and food around town.
Borrowing from Hunter S. Thompson, Jenny believes that âlife should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved, attractive body; but rather to skid in sideways, Sauvignon Blanc in one hand, burrito in the other (with chips and guacamole, of course), body thoroughly used up, worn out and screaming âWoo hoo! What a ride!ââ
Jenny thinks Cincinnati âis an easy place to be and enjoy being single and successful!â She also says âit truly boils down to your attitude, because there are opportunities around every corner, if you actually look.â

Linda is actively involved in the community as a board member of the Cincinnati Area Chapter of the American Red Cross and committee member at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Lindaâs involvement with the zoo helped her check the first item off of her âbucket listâ – to pet a cheetah!
Linda loves spending time with her friends and family, visiting Cincinnatiâs many summer festivals and exploring the cityâs rich history. She also loves the fact that âthere are so many opportunities to get involved and give back to the community.â Linda thinks the people of Cincinnati are âgreat! So friendly and so generous.â
Linda thinks being âSingle & Successfulâ in Cincinnati can be a blessing because âI find that my friends who are married and have kids donât have the time to do all the things they want to. Single ladies can do everything. And we do!â
