Our clocks may have sprung forward, but some of us are falling back into our old routines. We’re only a few months into the new year, but when it comes to those resolutions we made – well, you know the saying about good intentions. But it’s not too late! Make today the day you do something good for yourself.
This month’s issue is all about health and well-being. We’re not talking about ripped abs and bulging biceps (although those may be a side effect of CrossFit Training – one of the things you’ll learn about in this month’s feature article). We’re talking about making the commitment to eating better, drinking better, and – as 5chw4r7z shows us in this month’s article – getting enough sleep.
So – how do you know what you need to do? In this month’s feature article, I recommend getting an executive health assessment. You don’t need to be an executive, or in prime health to get one. My own father had one done a few years back, and it provided him with valuable information concerning his own health and well-being (which reminds me, Dad – aren’t you due for a follow-up screening?).
Even our personal relationships can affect our overall health. While I expound on my relationship with my dog, Dino, Sara Celi shows us how the best relationships can even motivate us to get into shape. Plus, local entrepreneur Chris Ostoich shares some of his secrets to leading a full, happy life.
Eating well doesn’t have to be difficult, either. My wife, Amy Scalia, introduces us to a local company that makes it stupid easy to eat healthy, organic produce – without ever leaving your own home. Brilliant.
Plus, Mike Karwath has a follow-up to last month’s article with the results of Red 9′s trip to the King of the Hammers (hint: he survived); Will Chambers tells us the remarkable story of a young man who beat the odds to live out a lifelong dream; and Dave with The All Night Party plays musical hide-and-go-seek with The Hiders. And we’ll introduce you to a man who’s raising awareness for a cause close to his heart by walking clear across the country – and show you how you can get involved.
Thanks so much for your continued support of Cincinnati Profile. I sincerely hope this month’s issue inspires you to take the first step toward leading a healthier life. As a result, you might end up living a longer one, too.
Sincerely,

Pete Scalia
